The Petroglyph Estates Land Community
This community is a bit different from most because it comprises individual Petroglyph Estate lot owners but yet developed by the City of Albuquerque. The city created a SAD or “Special Assessment District” to fund the development. All infrastructure was installed, including Paved Roads, Curb, and Gutter, City Water and Sewer Lines, Telephone, and Cable. The Special Assessment was then applied to each lot. On average, the assessment was about $43K, and the city allowed financing over a 15-year term. With all the infrastructure now in place, the Petroglyph Estates community became a hotbed of lot sales activity.
Most lots were approximately 0.30 Acres, so these are relatively large lots to build on. Beautiful custom homes now populate the landscape with many homes in the construction process. A few production home builders have also added to the mix of possible options.
